As of this morning at 12:01 am the government issued a stay-at-home order for at least 28 days requiring everyone to remain at home with exception for essential purposes.

Dental Offices Will Remain Open During This Time!

Under this order, everyone is advised to stay home and only go out for essential trips to pick up groceries or go to medical appointments. Health care services, including Dental offices, will remain open during this stay at home order.

Please remember to Pre-Screen prior to your dental appointment and if you have any symptoms please call the office to reschedule.

Dear Valued Patients,

Life has been anything but normal this year and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you [and your family]. We are open to provide you with service for all your dental needs. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

• We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you’re in the office.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed.

• Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect.

• Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

• You may be surprised that we’re wearing more protective gear — such as masks, face shields, gowns — than we normally do during your visit.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment, call our office at 519-351-5050 or email us at northsidedental@ciaccess.com

Thank you for patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and lookforward to welcoming you back!

Sincerely,

The Team at Northside Dental Office.

May 31, 2020

Dear Valued Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We are excited to let you know that we are resuming all non-essential and elective treatment.

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to you and your family’s oral health needs and safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, as you may have witnessed during your visits.  The safety and comfort of our dear patients and staff is of utmost importance.

Our office has always adhered to the guidelines published by Health Canada, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and the College of Dental Hygienist’s of Ontario, and continues to do so.

You will see some minor changes when you attend your upcoming appointment.

For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to review Covid-19 screening questions, and the same screening questions will be asked again upon your arrival.
  • We will call your cell when we are ready to allow you entrance into the building, until then, you will be asked to wait in your car.  (If you have a cell)
  • You will see additional signage of Covid symptoms, cough etiquette, etc.
  • Our administrative staff will be wearing masks and eye protection.
  • We will request hand sanitization upon entry, and provide you with a mask to wear if you do not have one. (home made mask is fine)
  • We will take your temperature, and if no sign of a fever, you will be escorted directly to the operatory.
  • You will be requested to rinse for 30-60 seconds with a hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse.
  • After completion of treatment you will be required to wear a mask.
  • You will be escorted to the administration desk for any necessary billing and or appointment scheduling.
  • We request that you maintain a 6 ft distance from the admin staff if possible, and keep your mask on at all times, except when receiving treatment.
  • We request that if you develop any Covid symptoms, 0-14 days after your appointment, you contact the office and inform the administrative staff.
  • We request payment via debit or visa if possible, avoiding cash.
  • We are disinfecting all touch surfaces frequently, and have increased house keeping services.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the office.

We appreciate your patience, trust and loyalty during this time, and look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely, Doctors and Staff of Northside Dental
